Why is Science Important?
A British science teacher, Alom Shaha, has started an online project called "Why is Science Important?" at www.whyscience.co.uk. The site is a "collective blog" which features video, audio and written responses to the question "why is science important?" from scienctists, science teachers, public figures and members of the public. The aim of the project is to provide a resource that will help science teachers answer that inevitable question from their students -
"what's the point of this?". Alom is hoping to collect responses from all over the world and hopes that teachers reading this website will consider taking part by contributing an item for the blog.
