Forestry Education in the Wisconsin K-12 Classroom Workshop with Outdoor Activities

Eager to teach your students the critical thinking skills they need using a topic that relates to the world right outside their door?
Here’s your chance to get the award winning Project Learning Tree PreK-8 Activity Guide AND Wisconsin’s own LEAF lesson guide in one workshop. If you are interested in helping K-12 students understand the incredible value of forests, this classroom-based workshop is for you. The workshop teaches key principles, activities, and techniques to easily integrate environmental education into your classroom. You will receive the Project Learning Tree PreK-8 Activity Guide and a grade-specific unit of the LEAF Wisconsin K-12 Forestry Lesson guide, along with LEAF’s Wildland Fire and Urban Forest lesson guides.

PLEASE NOTE: Each workshop runs the first day, 4:30pm - 8:30pm through the second day, 8am-4:30pm

You may take this workshop for 1 graduate credit as NRES 740 for $50! An additional assignment including teaching a LEAF lesson and creating a strategic plan for implementing LEAF lessons in your classroom is REQUIRED. The cost of graduate tuition is $372.55 without the scholarship.
