Classical Mechanics for Teachers
A basic understanding of force and motion is necessary for a deep understanding of most other topics in physics and physical science. In this course, we study Newton's laws of motion, collisions and conservation laws, energy considerations in dynamics, and Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation.
Special attention will be given to modeling forces with force diagrams and time-series graphs. We will also study common student difficulties and relations to the history of science.
