Foundation: Retired Members
Many of our retired members remain active in science education by mentoring beginning teachers, consulting, writing, being active in professional organizations and substituting, among other things. Many remain members of WSST.
The WSST Foundation presently serves these members as the arm of WSST that organizes the annual meeting of the WSST Retired Science Teachers at the Spring Convention. This activity is supported by the WSST budget, not Foundation funds.
There are, and will be, retired members who want to thank their organization for the many years of valuable and faithful service WSST has provided to them as teachers of science. The WSST Foundation is a natural outlet for this desire. Retired WSST members can establish an ongoing memorial, make a memorial contribution in their own the name or the name of someone else, or remember WSST in their estate.
At the present time the WSST Foundation does not have the means to become involved in establishing trusts but could be included in a trust established by someone else.
To become involved in one of the WSST Foundation's programs contact the Executive Director, Ed Mueller 667 Yorkshire Neenah, WI 54956 or president of WSST. For the president's address write to the Office of Science Outreach 800 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh, WI 54901
