Your WSST Foundation is an excellent place of remember someone of special meaning to you. We have received memorials in memory of loved ones who are gone as well as memorials in honor of someone who is very special.

At the present time we distribute grants and scholarships in memory of Don Byerly and Robert Showers. Both of these members were presidents of WSST and active in science education throughout our state. Because we invest the memorial money and distribute an amount calculated to provide funds over many years, the Showers Memorial Scholarship has been awarded for over 20 years. The Don Byerly Memorial Grant, which includes both projects and scholarships, was awarded for the first time in 2001 and will likewise provide funds into the future.

Memorials not designated as ongoing grants or of a smaller amounts are placed in the Foundation's Fund where part is used to provide money for grants and scholarships and part is invested for the future activities of the Foundation.

None of the money contributed to the Foundation can be used for any other WSST activities. The Foundation has functions other than providing grants and scholarships which are funded by the WSST Board.
