Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Internship Program at UWM
Supported by the National Science Foundation, the Manfred Olsen Planetarium, Arecibo Remote Control Center, and the Departments of Chemistry, Geosciences, and Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, RET will enlist 4 interns, working 6-8 weeks, in the Summer of 2011 and 2 interns for a year-long position in the ARCC program. The stipend is $9600 with additional funds available for classroom materials and attendance at the 2012 WSST Conference in Madison.
This year’s recruitment is statewide with accommodations available, but limited to state-certified science teachers with a current (valid) contract in a high school or middle school, in the State of Wisconsin. Although, one of the 2 interns for the ARCC program is available to pre-service teachers, currently enrolled in a university teaching program.
