Trees For Tomorrow Announces Special Wisconsin Envirothon Workshop April 1-3
Trees For Tomorrow Natural Resources Specialty School in Eagle River is hosting their third annual Envirothon Team Training Workshop April 1-3, 2011. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to get away and totally focus your students for the upcoming Wisconsin Envirothon on April 21.
The three day in-depth workshop will consist of programs regarding forstry, water, soils and wildlife. All material will be based on the learning objectives available in the 2011 Wisconsin Envirothon Advisor Handbook on the Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association Web site at www.wlwca.org. Students are expected to walk away with an increased knowledge of the four core testing stations as well as background concepts, equipment applicaitons, and hands on, in-the-field experiences.
The total cost for the three days is $45/person and includes all instruction, meals, lodging and transportation while at the center. Only students from teams registered for the 2011 Wisconsin Envirothon by Tuesday, March 22 through Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Associaiton are eligible to apply. Space is limited to the first 30 students, and you do not need to bring your whole Envirothon team to participate. Bring those who can make it and have them share the information and experiences with the team.
