Educators will explore systems of science assessment. How does assessment look different within NGSS? How can we meaningfully use formative, interim and summative assessments to understand student learning and progress toward vision of NGSS? How can assessments connect to disciplinary literacy and mathematical practices, along with NGSS? Educators will be analyzing assessments, along with their full unit, using criteria for quality, and then work together to improve them. We'll also consider the notion of "All Standards for All Students," building ideas for how to differentiate and ensure access for all students to meaningful science work. Educators should bring a tablet or laptop and a science assessment.
