Front & Center Grants - Applications Open March 12, 2026 ​
Front and Center grants will be open for application at the WSST Conference. Applications should describe a $200 project in 500 words or less that showcases an innovative idea in the science classroom. Applications open Thursday, March 12 at 4 PM at the Vendor Social and close Friday, March 13 at noon. Awardees will be announced at the banquet. Awardees in attendance at the banquet will receive a check, or checks will be mailed after the conference concludes. You must be registered to attend the conference in order to be considered for this award!
Back to School Science Grant - Opening Fall 2026

These grants will fund ~$200 ideas for a project you'd like to start at the start of the school year. Ideas should showcase innovation in the classroom with an eye on inquiry.
Applications will be open only for a short window (4-5 days). The Back to School application opens on Thursday, September 25 at 8 AM and will close on Monday, September 29 at 5 PM.. The application must be 500 words or less. Selected grants will be announced and awarded by the end of October and disbursements should be made in November.​

This grant is designed to help WSST members (classroom teachers) overcome these barriers though collaboration with OST educators. The collaboration could be within their school district or programs in other districts, but should focus on local or regional partnerships.

"This grant is awarded biannually by the Board of Directors, based on requests from members and member organizations. The purpose is to help fund special requests that fall outside of the typical grant process. Grants are reviewed and voted upon by the Board of Directors at the Summer and Winter Board Meetings.
