Wisconsin Summer Science Huddle (WiSSH)

Updated: May 16

This day-long gathering on August 4th will engage science educators in a range of sessions and session types, including an organic development of topics based on suggestions from those who register. A light breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee.

Bring a game and snacks if you'd like! There will be optional game (or networking) time during an extended lunch and a "Chill Zone" where there will be snacks and informal connections.

An optional dinner is being organized. This will take place on the Menomonee River at the Twisted Fisherman restaurant at 6pm, though you're welcome to arrive earlier.

Daycare will be provided if sufficient need at a "Science Day Camp" during the meeting. Children of all ages are welcome, but they must be potty-trained to join to Camp (you're welcome to bring a child that's not potty-trained and keep them with you). You can indicate interest when you register.  REGISTRATION >

We will share a sign-up sheet with registrants for optional carpooling and shared housing.

The WiSSH idea of a Chill Zone with optional game time sounds like a refreshing way to decompress while networking. I've been looking for a solid collection of low-pressure science icebreakers to bring along. https://image-gpt.net

Love that WiSSH is building sessions organically from educator input—that's how you keep content relevant. I've been using https://nemotron-ai.com

The organic topic development sounds great — really helps when you can shape the day based on what educators actually need. I've been using https://hailuo-ai.pro

The WiSSH format sounds great—especially the option to help shape the topics as they develop. I'd love to bring a strategy game for the Chill Zone, and I've been using some great local educator Slack channels for that kind of peer-to-peer resource sharing. https://ai-art-generator.org

The WiSSH "Chill Zone" and optional gaming time sounds like a perfect way for science educators to unwind and network. I've been looking for a relaxed PD format that actually helps me recharge before the school year starts. https://banana-nano.co
